Cocktail attire has traditionally been the opportunity to whip out your trusted LTB (Little Black Dress) however, times have changed and there is definitely a wider range of acceptable outfits. This makes life a lot more exciting and the opportunity to show off a glamorous dress that could be short or mid-length in any colour you fancy or even a strapless jumpsuit. From keyhole bodycon dresses to mini dresses with layers of ruffles, lace, sequins, and satin. We can’t wait to see you dressed to impress.

Dress Code: Elegant with a touch of personal flair and flamboyance to embrace the Carnival theme. Our Gala Dinner promises to be a memorable evening so come dressed and ready for the red carpet, cameras, and action. Enjoy an evening of glitz and glamour, delicious food, and of course a little razzle on the dance floor.

 

Etiquette guidelines on professional work function behavour while still being authentically you.

  • Confirm your attendance and quip yourself with as much information as possible.
  • Establish the tone of the event – is it a work function to network with colleagues or a party?
  • Pay attention to your company culture. Know what is acceptable, expected, and comfortable for you and your colleagues.
  • What is the dress code? Be stylish and comfortable which builds your confidence.
  • Are plus ones allowed or is it just for employees?
  • What time does the event start and what time does it finish?
  • Don’t be late and rather leave early than be the last to leave.
  • The location of the event and how you will get there and how you will travel home after the event.
  • Limit your alcohol intake.
  • Stay hydrated with water.
  • Don’t ever drink and drive or accept a lift with a colleague who has been drinking alcohol.
  • Be a good listener.
  • Engage in positive small talk. Smile and make eye contact.
  • Be sincere and interact with as many colleagues as possible.
  • Avoid office gossip or complaining about operational issues.
  • Work the room. Introduce yourself to people you don’t know.
  • This is a face-to-face event, stay off your phone.
  • Maintain your professional reputation with professional behaviour.
